Wooohooooo.... Jacksonville, NC!So for a Saturday night the crowd was pretty thin. That just means that the superfans get to have more fun! First off I want to share a couple photos with everyone. We got to Jacksonville with a little time to spare and the mid-west gals wanted to stick their feet in the ocean (I kept my feet dry).
That last photo turned into an iPhone commercial. As we are driving back from the beach to go to dinner, I decided I wanted 8x10 prints of it to take to the show that night and get signed by the band. I took it and edited it on my iPhone at the beach, downloaded the Walgreens app, uploaded the photo and ordered 1 hour prints from the local Walgreens. I picked them up after dinner. Yeah, there's an app for that! LOL
The show itself was pretty funny and the guys were having a really great time. Casey was giving me funny looks and JRoss kept commenting on the "boom boom" of the bass from the club next door. "There's thousands of people on the other side of that wall. Naked people." Then when I said I was going there instead he looked at me and said "Hell yeah. You have to be tired of taking pictures of me in the same shirt." LOL It was classic.
Later someone in the crowd tells JRoss to "Rip it up." To which JRoss tells Tommy they want him to "Rip it up" and Tommy proceeds to tear the setlist to bits. I was laughing too hard to even think about taking pictures of it happening!
I also got to meet Jason at the show. He's been taping shows for a lot longer than me and we tried to get him patched into the board (it was tiny!) but we didn't have the right cables! He did hook me up with a sweet copy of a House of Blues show from Myrtle Beach in 2003, so look for that to go up on the site this week! We're going to work together to get the rest of his collection up as well! I love meeting all these 7M3 fans that I never hear from at shows, it really makes the trips that much more worth it. And when you're the guy carrying around 4 pounds of camera gear, I guess I'm hard to miss!!
