Topic: New Dislocation Release!

I'm surprised no one has started a thread regarding this news that I assume we all got with our monthly download. Does anyone know anything about this release? Release date? Extra Tracks? If we are getting Dislocation outtakes will that include studio versions of Goldfish, A Way to Compete, ?????????

I saw the line about that in the bio and to be honest--and I mean this quite frankly--I'm sorta tired of the rereleases, I guess.Sure, "Churn" was nice, sure it was nice to have "Backbooth", but I'm looking forward to something new. So when I read a rerelease? Yeah, I don't get too excited. There's something beautiful to me about the urgency and the rushed feel to "dis/location" that I really don't care for anything else from it--especially not remastering and rereleasing it. I just wish they kept the outtakes for 7MP3s and released a new album instead... But that's just me...

A Way to Compete was listed as a song they recorded way back on one of the old websites as they were doing updates from the studio on the site during the recording of Dislocation. I believe it is the same song thats on the Nerver album, but 7m3 recorded it as well during these sessions. Sometime in the early 2000s I started keeping a word file of all the songs we didn't have b-sides, covers, etc. I hope we get a full fledged b-sides release someday as well, but I just hope they keep the new stuff coming to us anyway they can.

Wow! Glad you got your car back at least!! i would love to hear those songs as well! If possible! i only have a few that you mentioned and my copy of Ring is a muffled recording!
