I don't think so but I would bet that much like men they do think "my horns are bigger than your horns." Why is it always about the size?

Spell checking a post on an internet forum is pretty stupid in its own right...It is a brief thought, captured in time...not War and fucking Peace. Duh.

"Usually" is he right or wrong here? Scotty: "There were 40 people up there from this board trying to watch the show, sing along, and enjoy the band, but you and 3 other guys decided that trying to knock the women down was more fun than seeing the band perform. I guess you are more of a man than I, cause I just don't get it"... Crabster: "geezus, anyone in the first three rows at a rock show that expects to just stand there without getting bumped and pushed and whatever is delusional, during this bands peak you would of been getting kicked in the head by the crowd surfers going over the tops of your heads"

I think I even worded it like that "Usually" and then I asked if he was right or wrong? What's wrong with that? The Tazer thing will haunt you forever...

In that case he was wrong - to me....although he thinks he was right, I'm sure. The tazer story was funny, regardless. I haunts you far more than me, cause I don't think about it, yet you obsess over it. Sucks to be you....usually, I guess.

No usually it doesn't suck to be me, not at all.. The tazer story was very funny but like I said before, it was funny the first time I read it without your name inserted in the story... I'm not haunted by it, I just found it comical that you quoted almost word for word again a classic line by someone else.. The best part of it all was the line was used against Mr. Powderfinger himself Neil Young... I swear I just think it's really funny... Is it just me? Well, I gotta get back to my research...

are you sure it was Joe Elliott?I don't know sammy...he used a line from a Neil Young song at the beginning of Rock of Ages... there's gotta be some respect to quote another artist in your song. plus...Neil Young. I mean, Neil Young! Who disrespects Neil?

Yeah, I'm 100% positive it was Joe Elliot because at the time it really pissed me off...Trees, Neil Young is good, very good but he is just human, seriously... Oh yeah, Skynard disrepected Neil, "Sweet Home Alabama" ring a bell?

"Gunter glieben glauchen globen"?? My German isn't the best but what I think he is trying to say is "Gunter Glieben" (famous German who studied Igneous Rock),"glauchen" (died from) "Globen" (traveling the globe)... The man did die in a rock slide in the mountains of Peru...

Yeah, they hated each other so much that Ronnie wore a Neil t-shirt and Neil wrote "Powderfinger" and offered it to Skynrd before he recorded it himself.... That whole Neil vs. Skynrd thing has been debated for years...once you are done with your Def Leppard research, Samwise, you should look into it!!! Here's a good starting point: http://www.thrasherswheat.org/2006/04/ronnie-van-zant-and-neil-young-rebels.html [This message has been edited by Powderfinger! (edited 03-28-2007).]

Good stuff FLScott, but the fact is and very well documented that Sweet Home Alabama was written with Neil Young in mind, "Well, I heard Mister Young sing about her. Well, I heard ole Neil put her down. Well, I hope Neil Young will remember a southern man don't need him around anyhow. Southern Man" To mention someone that many times, first and last name and to say they don't need him around is pretty harsh... True they made up and became friends later but they did not like Neil and "disrespected" (according to people here) him by singing about him in one of the most played songs in history... SLAM.. Gotta get working on my Def Leppard research...

Do some reading and get back to me, Sammy...True, the lines in "Alabama" were in response to Neils song "Southern Man", but truth be told, Neil was honored to be in the song... This is a timeless argument, any way you look at it... Wish you were here, Sambo. Thanks.

anyone remember the restaurant "Sambo's"? I think they had them in the South. I remember going there as a kid. It was not exactly "politically correct". As I recall the mascot "Sambo" was an african-american kid...

The Scottster, Yes the truth be told, Neil was honored to be in their song but the point is they fucking slammed Neil for his take on the "Southern Man"... I don't think I would be honored to be hammered in a song that they tell Neil he is not needed around anyhow... Neil has said he was honored to be recognized by such a great songwriter and I think that's where the relationship started... Now "Mullet Man", I must return to work... I wish I was there also..
