that's right...you had a sandwich or something with the cheese on the side.Brian: "why did you order all that cheese if you aren't going to eat it?" Sarah: "I didn't order it. It comes with the meal. I asked for it on the side" Brian: "oh. Can I eat it?" (takes a huge handful and shoves in mouth)

Well....The good news is, I am no longer sick... The bad news is, the 2 year old has been throwing up since about 4pm... I am awaiting word from the wife whether or not to make the trip to Orlando...or stay home. He is snuggled up in bed with mommy right now, so I'm not doing much good here, but I will (of course) stay home if she thinks she needs me to...or I will go up there late, record the show, and jet back home... I figure that I have an hour or so, then I will see where she stands.

Powder - Hope the kid is feeling better. Being sick really sucks.I am still upset I was in Orlando for a week (3/14-3/20) and missed this show. The trip was already planned before i knew there was a show. After catching some of the DVD's, I would love to see a live acoustic show.

Don't worry. Scott ditched his puking kid. The show was taped. All during the set Scott kept repeating "I can't believe my wife thought me going to the show would somehow stop the vomitfest. Someone get me a tequila and a Glamour magazine."

All bullshit aside...when I made that last post I was NOT going...At about 9pm, Amanda said, "Is it too late for you to make it if you leave now?" I said, "I don't have to go if you think you need me here." She said "You may as well try and go, and I will call you if I really need you." I was dressed and out the door in like 2 minutes... I was hitting 85-90mph all the way to Orlando, but as soon as I got off the exit I was dead stopped. It was about 10:15 and I figured that Ross & Tommy would be going on about 10:30, so I was sweating a little...I found a public parking garage for $5 and hauled ass. Got through the door, headed upstairs, and the guy from Lucero was midway through his set. Saw Chuck for a second, spoke to Orlando Sammy, who pointed me towards a little closet in the back of the room where J-Mo was hidden with the soundboard. Turns out that J was recording the show as well, and didn't think he had any other outputs to hook into...go figure. After a few minutes, he said, let me try something and see if it works - hook up the recording gear. After a few minutes of pushing buttons, mouse clicks, etc., our boy J-freaking-Mo had an extra hook up... ~~SCORE!~~ Crab Man had wanted me to record some of the second guys set, but he only had a song or two left, so I didn't bother. Headed back out and met up with Dean, Jaworski, Britt, Martin, etc. and talked to them for a few, then headed back to the closet to set the levels, etc. Stayed back there for the first song, then headed up and hung out with Chuck on the far left side of the stage - but I have become spoiled by the front row, so I headed over by Dean and decided that since I would look like an ass standing in front of all these short people, I just walked to center stage and sat down on the floor. At this point, I guess I should tell you guys that this was an art gallery type of place. The floor was hardwood, like a basketball court, and clean enough to eat off of...it was a perfect spot. Britt follwed my lead and quickly claimed a spot next to me. Jaworski served as my back rest... Anyway, I have waited over 10 years to see a Ross/Thomas FULL acoustic show and it was awesome. Set list as follows... ? Song (New 7M3 song?? Ross played this one alone at the Cincy soundcheck...??) Dreaming (New 7M3 song? It's the "Hey, everything's gonna be all right" song from the Cincy soundcheck..) Hammer and a Stone Each Little Mystery Truckstop (The Byrds cover) Wait Laughing Out Loud (*new 7M3 song) With a Girl Like You (The Troggs cover) Upside Down (*new 7M3 song) Southwestern State Oven Needle Can't Burn Long Black Veil (Johnny Cash cover) Lucky Ghost (by shouted request of...um...me) Dancin' in the Dark (Bruce Springsteen cover) At that point, they had passed the midnight curfew and had to stop...with NO Cumbersome!! This recording came out EXCELLENT. John will need to EQ a little, as the guitar strings rattle a little in some spots, but you guys are going to LOVE this one... Special thanks to my wife for being extra cool....again.

sweet....this make up for the crime scene down the street from my house. I have no idea what happened as it hasn't hit the news, but we had about 7 cop cars, street blocked off, and two ambulences that sped away last night. There is still a cop car hanging out, so I'm assuming the worst.

Wow Scott, sounds like an adventure! What did you think of the new songs?? I really liked Upside Down when they played it in Charlotte, I bet it sounded awesome acoustic. As much as I love the rock shows, I'd see an acoustic Ross/Tommy show every day of the week if I could. They always play great stuff, whether it's new songs, old songs, rare songs, awesome covers. Glad you had a good time.

They played so many new songs! My first question for Brian after reading the setlist was how long until we can get ahold of this. I did not like the answer. I was looking for hours and got a days to weeks answer. I love their acoustic shows. I can't wait to hear it.Glad you had a good time Scott. Hope your little one is feeling better. Thanks for sharing my little secret with everyone Dean. All the new songs kicked ass, first time I heard any of them. Can't wait to hear them all again. Good seeing Giti out again, too. B ------------------ "All the perfect people on Orange Ave. -- they're all right."

I also rescued a handful of green posters as seen earlier and will be able to share them after I get home next weekend. Nice to see everyone there. and I can't wait to relive it with the recording. such a treat. later, kids.

well, we just got home an hour or so ago after taking Martin to MIA for his return flight to Austria. Back to Giti....of course he would be there since the Matador was withing spitting distance from the art gallery. Scott and I ended up being the only ones sitting on the floor. I was so happy to join him. Not sure my feet could have taken standing anymore that day. It was nice to have a full car on the way to the show. Mike and Martin were great additions to the normal Brittany and Stewart trip. The show was great and it was great to meet Brian and Dean officially. There may be a few surprises surface sometime from the show...............................................

Yeah, I asked him, he said it was going good, that's about it. Don't know much about that biz, so that's was enough for me. ------------------ "All the perfect people on Orange Ave. -- they're all right."
